The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has announced that the first promotions of the Plan Vive will begin to be built at the beginning of next year . “The administrative procedures will begin before the end of the year, we will be able to see the first stone next quarter and in twelve months we will see the first ones completed,” he said during the presentation of the projects of this housing program public for rent at an affordable price.
The president met this Thursday in Valdebebas one of the plots included in this residential plan, which will involve an investment of 700 million euros and will have a “significant social and economic impact.” It will benefit 13,000 tenants, including those under 35 years of age, over 65, people with disabilities or young pregnant women , “those who need the most help to access a home,” he said. All of them will be guaranteed rental prices 40% lower than those of the market.
In addition, the president of the Community of Madrid has highlighted that the different batches of the Plan will mean the creation of 13,500 direct jobs and some 44,000 indirect ones . All this will have an impact on the regional GDP of more than 3,000 million euros. “This system is a great example of public-private collaboration and legal security and transparency,” he added.
The Community of Madrid definitively awarded, on October 21, the first promotions of this regional initiative to the companies Dorsono Investments and Saturn Holdco, which translates into the placing on the market of 5,406 new apartments that will be spread over 35 plots of public land in ten municipalities that are Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Colmenar Viejo, Getafe, Madrid, Móstoles, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Torrejón de Ardoz, Torrelodones and Tres Cantos.
Three promotions in Valdebebas
Valdebebas will have three promotions within the first phase of Plan Vive. All of them will add 728 homes planned for bidding, which could be expanded to 773 at the end of these projects , on a rental basis at lower prices, according to the community government.
Although the rent is lower than the market, the tender specifications require the concessionaires the highest quality in design and materials, as well as the use of innovative techniques of industrialized construction and the incorporation of all the advances in energy efficiency.
The president explained that these homes will be strategically located between the two main engines of the region: the Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas International Airport and the IFEMA fairgrounds.
